This page contains a list of errors that can appear when using the Smart Send solution.

Authentication failed when making an API call

AuthenticationException

This error occurs when the API Token saved in the plugin is not correct or if the Smart Send account has been closed.

  1. Login to your account and verify that you have a valid subscription
  2. Check that the API Token in the plugin is correct. The API Token was sent to you in you welcome email, and can also be found in your account here

Authorization failed when making an API call

AuthorizationException

This error usually occurs when the requested feature is not part of the active subscription plan.

  1. Login to your account and verify that you have a valid subscription
  2. Verify that the active subscription plan includes the requested featue
  3. Upgrade the subscription plan to get access to extra features

Profile is missing a carrier account

MissingCredentialsException

This error occurs when trying to generate a label for a carrier but the user is missing login credential for that carrier. In order for the Smart Send system to communicate with the carrier, then we need login credentials, which should be entered in you user profile.

  1. Login to your account
  2. Go to Accounts in the menu to the left
  3. Enter valid credentials for the carrier you are trying to generate labels for

The data provided failed validation

ValidationException

This error occurs, when the data provided does not pass validation at Smart Send. This means that some data is incorrect, and need to be fixed before making a new API call.

Typically this error is followed with details about what field(s) failed validation and why they failed validation.

Incorrect carrier credentials

CarrierAuthenticationException

This error occurs when the carrier credentials entered in the user profile is invalid. This usually occur if the carrier password has been changed.

Update the carrier account information in the user profile to solve this:

  1. Login to your account
  2. Go to Accounts in the menu to the left
  3. Enter valid credentials for the carrier you are trying to generate labels for

 

The carrier failed to generate a shipping label

CarrierRequestException

This in an unexpected error which occurs when the carrier failed to create a shipping label.

This error usually includes a unique ID, which can help us identify why the carrier failed to generate the shipping label.

Please contact Smart Send's support team, and provide the unique ID, so that we can investigate why you are getting this error.

HttpException

This in an unexpected error and means that something that should never happen, happened anyway.

This error usually includes a unique ID, which can help us identify why the carrier failed to generate the shipping label.
